Thanks Theresa! Yes the scholar’s bench is still available. It is from late 19th century Shanxi Province.
In all original condition and actually worth quite a bit more than the $750 price. Benches such as this
one were used in the scholar’s library. Tea would be served to visitors while they talked politics or
admired the scholar’s latest drawings or art acquitsitions.
