One of our last dining table sized drawing tables from Shanxi Province. Tables such as this were used in the scholar's library for practising calligraphy, studying music and art. This Chinese antique table is made from northern elm wood.

Large Chinese antique drawing table and set of eight chairs. The table is constructed with 'arrow leg' joinery indicating its age. Six chairs are in the "official hat" style and two are arm chairs from Shandong. The antique elmwood chairs have been repainted to match. This is a hardwood table of teak and elmwood. Circa mid-Qing Dynasty 1750-1850
