| tibtr24 | This is the oldest and rarest amongst our collection of antique Tibetan monastery trunks. From c 1830-1880 Tibet, this trunk has an original overlay of cloth on which the painting was executed. It was entirely coated with an overlay of protective red paint during the Cultural Revolution, which was then striped off within the last 30 years, some of the red paint remnants remain. This is an exciting and culturally rich piece! 24" high x 30" wide x 18" deep.
